Southeast Metro Road Worker Hit By Possible Gunfire
6-13-12 (Mendota Heights, MN) -- Authorities are investigating after a road construction worker in the southeast metro was struck twice this morning (Wed) by what they suspect was gunfire. The worker was hit first in the wallet in his back pocket, and then immediately after in his left arm. State Patrol Lieutenant Eric Roeske (ROSS-key) says it certainly appears to be a bullet -- but because there are no plans to remove it from the worker's elbow, authorities are trying to come up with information to help them determine exactly what happened. Roeske says they don't know if it was targeted at the person or some sort of accident. Anyone with information should contact the State Patrol.
