Taxpayers League Survey: Minneapolis Voters Oppose Stadium Plan
5-23-12 (Minneapolis, MN) -- The Taxpayers League of Minnesota says 56 percent of Minneapolis residents they contacted by phone oppose the Vikings stadium financing plan that the city council will vote on Friday, and only 27 percent support it. League President Phil Krinkie says the message to city councilmembers is "listen to your constituents" who were denied an opportunity to voice their concerns through a referendum. Minneapolis Mayor R-T Rybak has not been available for comment.
