(St. Cloud, MN) -- A Rosemount man convicted of killing his mother in her St. Cloud home last year was sentenced today to almost 22 years in prison. The attorneys for 40-year old Chad Pulju argued for a lesser sentence than called for by sentencing guidelines but the request was denied by the judge. Pulju pleaded guilty to Intentional Murder in the Second Degree, but claimed he was in an alcoholic blackout on the night of August 23rd and has no recollection of the event. An autopsy showed that 68-year old Geraldine Bennett had 47 stab wounds to her face, neck and arm.
