(Undated) -- The NHL has reportedly made a new offer to the player's union. The offer reportedly includes a maximum contract length for players of six years, seven if re-signing with the same team. It also includes the "make whole" provision of 300-million dollars and one contract buyout prior to next season that would not count against the salary cap.
