Minnesota's Fourth Meningitis Lawsuit



(Ham Lake, MN)  --  A fourth lawsuit has been filed over meningitis in Minnesota.  A Ham Lake woman who contracted the disease from contaminated steroid shots is suing the New England pharmacy company responsible.  Attorneys for Holly Peterson say she became ill after having a steroid shot in Coon Rapids to relieve her chronic back pain.  Women in Shakopee, Savage, and Montrose are also suing after contracting meningitis and Peterson's suit seeks class action status.  In all, 11 people in Minnesota have been sickened in the 19-state outbreak.  Thirty-two people have died, none in Minnesota.
