(Bethesda, MD) -- A Minnesota boy is the seventh victim of the so-called "superbug" at the National Institutes of Health in Maryland. N-I-H officials say the boy arrived in April and was being treated for complications from a bone marrow transplant when he contracted the deadly germ. He died September 7th. The Washington Post reports 19 patients at the hospital have contracted the antibiotic-resitant strain of K-P-C and the Minnesota boy was the first new infection since January. The outbreak stemmed from a single patient last summer.
