(Cottage Grove, MN)  --  The husband and wife involved in an apparent murder-suicide at a Cottage Grove strip mall had recently separated.  Police say Chevel Richard shot and killed his wife, Tensia Richard, in a Jimmy John's sandwich shop before turning the gun on himself Thursday.  Gail Griffith with the Cottage Grove Police Department says prior to the killing, the two engaged in a brief conversation in the parking lot and then the husband began shooting at his wife.  Griffith says Chevel Richard was convicted of 5th Degree Domestic Assault in 2011 and placed on probation.  The couple had two sons, ages 5 months and three.
