8-13-12 (Washington, D.C.)  --  U-S Senator Al Franken remains hopeful his colleagues in the House will get the Farm Bill passed when they return from recess in September.  Franken says the current bill expires September 30th and has a lot of key elements needed to help Minnesota farmers--including a provision that retroactively reinstates disaster relief.  The Senate passed the Farm Bill back in June.
