(St. Paul, MN) -- The flu season is officially here. The Minnesota Department of Health has recorded its first two cases of influenza for the 2012-2013 season. A 25-year-old Olmsted County woman and a 12-year-old Hennepin County child tested positive, neither person had to be hospitalized. Kris Ehressman is with the Department of Health and says if you haven't already, now is the time to get a flu-shot. She says the flu vaccination is now recommended for everyone six months and older, unless they cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons. Ehresmann says it is especially important for pregnant women, seniors and young children and those with chronic medical conditions to get a flu shot.
