Cleanup Underway After Flash Flooding In SE Minnesota

6-12-15 (Cannon Falls, MN)  --  Law enforcement is urging "gawkers" to stay out of the area as Cannon Falls and vicinity cleans up after heavy rains caused flash flooding.  Officials say several homes and farmsteads were damaged in Cherry Grove Township by what appears to be tornadic activity, cattle were injured at a farm where a building collapsed, but only one person was reported injured, with a cut hand.  Goodhue County Sheriff Scott McNurlin says what they're concerned about now is more rain that could come tonight or tomorrow.  He says "there's really nowhere for this water to go...and to have another heavy rain would be relatively catastrophic."  At least for now, water is receding although there is still localized flooding in Cannon Falls and downstream on the Cannon River.
