(Undated) -- Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann has drawn fire for her allegations that an aide to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has family ties to Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood. But what effect, if any, might the controversy have on Bachmann's local re-election campaign? Carleton College Political Science Professor Steven Schier [[ SHEER ]] says that depends on how important the issue is to voters. Schier says it's not like an economic issue that's affecting voters everyday. Schier notes that Bachmann represents the most Republican district in the state. She faces challenger, D-F-L businessman Jim Graves, in her re-election bid.
